Lott3Metz has completed schematic design and is beginning the construction documentation for a multi-use retail/office/housing project in the Heartside Historic District of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. The proposed three story building would fill a long vacant site on Ionia Avenue. The mixed-use structure will feature retail tenants at the Ionia street level while the upper floors will be sold as live/work condominiums. The building is designed to be contextually respectful while aggressively activating the Ionia streetscape with shoppers, condominium owners, and a rigorous modern aesthetic.
